Getting to know you
ALAN CHENERY
Not many people know that I have musicality in my bones,as I was born into a performingfamily.
Both my parents had their own bands during the wartime and performed in many different venues Born in Lincolnshire, I was soon following them onto the stage where they encouraged me,from an early age to perform in both singing and dancing.
After leaving school at 15, I joined the R.A.F. in February 1958.I spenttime in Cyprus from 1961 -1963.
Pat and I were married in 1966 and have 2sons.
I took up the ukulele in 1996 when living in Crewe and then moved to Fleetwood in2002.( You know the rest)
Most of my spare time is spent at Donna's Dream House in Blackpool,acharity very dear to my heart,where my main position is in fund raising, also visiting other organisations promoting the George Formby Society
